My new Studio!

I've been fortunate in the last year be able to move my studio space closer to home and during this past winter, my Husband and Father built me some shelves for all my books and supplies.  

This was my "storage" system for several months....not very user friendly!

This big empty wall seemed like a huge opportunity for something better.

First, there had to be room for all of my sewing machines (I have been on the receiving end of two Grandmas' sewing rooms and all their contents-which while wonderful, has left me with an embarrassment of riches)

Shelves were needed for my library of sewing books and my card making supplies.

An additional "bump-up" shelf was put in place to maximize the shelf spaces on the notions shelves.

Here is the completed look of the unit and I am so thrilled with how it came out!  No more hunting through piles and/or boxes to find the right jar or searching to find a certain reference book for a project....and no more leaving extra buttons, snaps and other notions on my desk to be put away later.  Bring on the new projects!
